Our journey began in 2022 when we, Jesse Zimmerman and Anna Gajewski, took the reins of the established Countryside Meat Processing facility here in Renick WV. Driven by a passion for connecting families and farmers with real, local meat, we saw an opportunity to build upon a valued community resource while infusing it with our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
We rebranded as Renick Valley Meats, reflecting our deep connection to this area and our commitment to its farming families. In 2024 we proudly obtained our commercial meat processing license from the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. This allows us to better serve local farmers needing processing for resale within the state, furthering our mission to strengthen the local food system.
